Welcome to Sacred Rhythms

Sacred Rhythms was created as a quiet and welcoming space for people who long to slow down and become more attentive to the presence of God in everyday life. In a world filled with noise, hurry, distraction, and constant demands, many people find themselves spiritually exhausted. Even those who deeply love God can begin to feel disconnected or unsure how to build meaningful rhythms of prayer, Scripture, worship, and reflection. Sacred Rhythms exists to help create space for that reconnection.

At the heart of Sacred Rhythms is the belief that spiritual formation rarely happens through rushed moments or constant activity. Instead, growth often develops slowly through small and faithful rhythms practiced over time. Prayer. Scripture. Reflection. Worship. Gratitude. Rest. These simple practices help shape the heart and mind while teaching us to become more aware of God’s presence throughout the day. Sacred Rhythms is not built around pressure or spiritual performance. It is meant to remain gentle, accessible, and welcoming.

One of the central pathways within Sacred Rhythms is FLOW: Focus, Listen, Observe, and Worship. FLOW was designed as a simple daily rhythm that anyone can begin using, even if they have never explored historic Christian practices before. Drawing from the Psalms, Proverbs, and the rhythms of the Daily Office, FLOW creates a quiet structure for daily attentiveness without becoming overwhelming or complicated. Sacred Rhythms also includes guided spaces for prayer and reflection that help people slow down and notice where God may be at work in their lives.

Sacred Rhythms is also connected to a broader ecosystem of encouragement, spiritual formation, leadership development, stewardship, and community support. Through pathways such as Kingdom Encouragers, the Church Encourager Initiative, Kingdom Influence, Virtual Church Spark, and other connected resources, Sacred Rhythms becomes more than a website. It becomes part of a larger journey of spiritual growth and encouragement. Most importantly, you do not need to master every practice or understand every tradition to begin. You simply need to start. One prayer. One Psalm. One moment of attentiveness at a time.

Steve Lawes serves as the lead pastor of Keys Vineyard Church, founder of the Online Bible Institute Network, and leads the Christian Practices initiative through Tower of Praise, Inc. His heart is to help people grow in a steady and authentic relationship with God through simple, accessible rhythms of Scripture, prayer, and spiritual formation.
